outline for chapters 2 - 4 (chapter 4 ended up being different)

chapter 2:
- getting hot and heavy
- kojiro being a good boyfriend
- kaoru feeling like he's taking advantage of the pretense
- they arrive
- kojiro is pulling out all the stops to be the best boyfriend and take good care of kaoru
- a stressful dinner with parents, kaoru makes himself an alcoholic drink that night and kojiro joins him in the kitchen and they cuddle, then they drink and end up making out in bed until kaoru realises they're getting too carried away but kojiro is good and not awkward about it and they end up cuddling in bed

chapter 3:
- kojiro takes kaoru to an indoor skatepark, and it's just the two of them but they keep up the pretense they're dating anyway and refer to each other as their boyfriend to strangers (maybe there's someone else at the skatepark who looks like they need the encouragement)
- kojiro gets voluntold that he's making christmas dinner and kaoru gets furious about it because his parents can't just invite kojiro up there and force him to cook for them. kojiro tells him it's fine. kaoru disagrees.
- kojiro and kaoru figure out a menu together and plan things out
- kaoru's parents want to go to the christmas markets. kojiro and kaoru go with them but purposefully lose them and just take the time to themselves and buy presents for kaoru's parents
- they get mistletoed and end up kissing at the markets
- and maybe they go home and fuck
- and kaoru freaks out

chapter 4:
- they avoid each other for a while, which is incredibly uncomfortable and difficult when they're meant to be making christmas dinner together
- kaoru goes out to buy kojiro a gift and it's usually easy to find something because he usually goes for something silly and fun but this time he keeps getting stuck because he wants to put his feelings into his gift and he has too many feelings to contain in a single gift
- kaoru gets home to walk in on kojiro being confronted by kaoru's parents; they tell him they know the relationship isn't real and isn't kojiro tired of being in love with somoene who will take advantage of him like this and jerk him around and won't he just give up already and kojiro angrily but respectfully tells them that he's in love with kaoru and that's never going to change, even if they wished it would. they tell him that kaoru clearly doesn't love him back, so there's actually nothing getting in their way to set him up with somoene else
